Wilton Library's Ladies' Soiree

Cocktails, laughter, smiles, and hugs are all part of the celebration when Wilton Library Association hosts its 12th annual Ladies’ Soirée Thursday, Oct. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m.  The evening gathering provides an opportunity for women to get together with their friends, giving them a chance to catch up after a busy summer, a hurricane that blew through town and the start of school, all while benefiting

The fundraiser includes a silent auction and a giving tree, along with hors d’oeuvres and drinks, and piano accompaniment by Jon Bauerfeld.  According to Lelei Coyle, one of the four event chairs, “We look forward to this occasion every year for the library.  It’s a wonderful renewal for the fall – greeting familiar faces and welcoming new ones, enjoying each others’ company and providing much needed funding so that the library can continue to be the center for the community offering all the programs and services that the residents and users expect.”  Along with Lelei, Susan Cramer, Kimberly Johnson and Priscilla Thors combine their talents for the fourth year in a row to make this fun evening happen.

This year’s silent auction includes a range of items such as massages and design haircuts from area spas to days of indulgence and exercise, from whimsical gifts to jewels and gems, from personal in-home fashion 911 to accessories and fashions from local merchants.
