            “Hooray for Hollywood!”

It’s time once again for another of the Wilton Singers’ popular cabaret evenings, and time to salute some of the great music to come from the world of cinema.

Patrick Taylor, who for ten years was Choral Director at Wilton High School, will be returning to Wilton as guest music director for the evening’s program. He currently heads up the outstanding choral music department at Greenwich High School.

Capping off the evening’s entertainment will be a special guest appearance by the ultra-talented song-and-dance team of Beverly and Kirby Ward – both Broadway veterans and Wilton residents.

The Wilton Singers’ annual fall cabaret has become a sold out affair over the years. This year’s “Hooray For Hollywood” program launches the 30-member group’s 27th season.

The dinner and program will be held at the WEPCO Complex, 48 New Canaan Road. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person.

Wilton Singers president Jean Caffrey noted that “as always, party-goers will be encouraged to bring their picnic dinners and refreshments, and we will provide ice, napkins and entertainment.

“This year’s show will cover a wide range of film music including favorites from several of the old film classics to popular hits from more recent films,” says Caffrey.

“If you loved Fred Astaire, if you love some of the great Disney films, and if you still see yourself with outstretched arms on the bowsprit of the Titanic, you’re going to have a fun-filled evening and surely enjoy our musical evening at the movies.”

Tickets can be ordered by phoning Beth Mason at 762-2906 or emailing her at efmason@optonline.net  or  http://www.wiltonsingers.com.

Proceeds from the cabaret event go to support the Wilton Singers Scholarship Fund.
