October is Domestic Violence Prevention Month

On Oct. 19, Denim & Diamonds! promises an evening evening of sustainable food, wine-pairings, dancing, and more to support and sustain the work of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.

Denim & Diamonds!, a brand new event to support victims of domestic violence and the services provided by the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, will take place Saturday October 19th at Hotel Zero Degrees, the newly-opened boutique hotel in Norwalk.

The fundraiser is expected to draw supporters from Fairfield County and beyond for an evening of sustainable food, wine-pairings, dancing, and more.

“We are so excited to bring this new event to the community,” said Laura Campbell, Director of Development for DVCC in a release. “To have Hotel Zero Degrees and other local vendors partnering with us is phenomenal, and we are getting wonderful support from corporations and area businesses. Get together with your friends and join us because it’s going to be a really fun night for an excellent cause.”

PeaceWorks, the violence prevention platform of DVCC, reaches between 20,000 – 30,000 young people every year through in-school, after school and teen programs. The October date for the event coincides with National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, during which activities and programs across the country focus on increasing awareness about domestic violence and available services.
