"Next Step Living" Approved by WPD to Canvas Wilton Neighborhoods

Wilton Go Green's partner, Next Step Living, a local residential energy efficiency and renewable energy company will be canvassing neighborhoods in Wilton to offer Home Energy Solutions visits.

Look for Representatives from Local Energy Efficiency Company in Your Neighborhood Wilton Go Green is working to increase residential energy efficiency in Wilton.

After holding two workshops to educate people about energy efficiency we are now looking to new ways to reach as many people as possible about ways to make your home as efficient as possible.

As part of this effort, representatives from Wilton Go Green’s partner, Next Step Living, a local residential energy efficiency and renewable energy company will be canvassing neighborhoods in Wilton. Representatives will be asking if you have had a Home Energy Solutions (HES) visit.

If you have not had a visit they can schedule you for a Home Energy Solutions visit with Next Step Living an approved vendor by CL&P and UI.

The list of approved contractors can be viewed at CL&P’s website.

If you have had a visit they will inquire about any additional energy efficiency measures you have taken since your HES visit, how you heat your home, whether you have considered mini- splits, and whether you would like to make an appointment to speak with an advisor to learn more about ways to save between 30-50% on your utility bill.

It is important to know that each representative has been permitted by the Wilton Police Department and had a background check completed by the Wilton Police Department. The planned canvassing route is filed with
the Police Department on a daily basis. Each representative wears an ID badge on a lanyard and carries a permission form.

In order to reach as many people as possible and educate them about Home Energy Solutions visits and residential energy efficiency going from home to home has been a great way to connect. Next Step Living is
also offering to donate $25 for each completed Home Energy Solutions Visit and $50 for completed Solar and Ductless Mini Split assessments to Wilton Go Green who in turn is giving the money to the “Wilton Loop” of the
Norwalk River Valley Trail.
