Fifth Grade Football: Wilton White 18 - Westport North 0

Wilton fifth grade White thumps Westport 18-0 on opening day of football season.

Thanks to Joel Jasinski for the following fifith grade football article.  He was kind enough to cover for me while I was watching two of my other sons play  for St. Luke's as they defeated Cardinal Spellman 13-0 on Saturday on the opening day of the high school season:

The Warriors started the season strong as Blake Pagano-Walley took the game's opening handoff 70 yards for a quick 6-0 lead. Everett Andersen had an 8-yard TD run on fourth down to put the Warriors up 12-0. Sean Sullivan’s long run set up Pagano-Walley’s second TD run, putting the Warriors up 18-0 before halftime. That would be the final score as the Wilton defense registered a dominating performance. All Warrior players had strong efforts including Jimmy McKiernan, Matthew Gulbin and Austin Cameron on defense, and Michael Coffey, Trevor Martines and Josh White on both sides of the ball.
