Sixth Grade Football Playoffs: New Canaan Black 13 - Wilton Blue 0

8-2 season comes to a close in Championship game loss to New Canaan

Playing in the bitter cold and wind at Fujitani Field on Sunday, the Wilton Blue sixth grade football team fell to New Canaan Black in the FCFL Championship game by a score of 13-0.  The team finished the season with an 8-2 record.

Throughout the season Wilton Blue developed a hard-hitting style of play characterized by an aggressive, swarming defense that surrendered just seven points per game.  The 177 points scored by the offense with an in-your-face running game that relied on great blocking and hard-nosed running allowed the team to rack up the biggest point differential in the league.

Four Wilton Blue players were nominated by the league’s coaches to the FBU Connecticut All-South team – Austin Andersen, Kyle Hyzy, Noah Levi and Jack Savarese.
