Rangers acquire Dan Carcillo
Just before the Rangers beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-1 on Saturday Night, Alain Vigenault announced the Rangers had acquired former Chicago Blackhawk and LA King, Dan Carcillo in exchange for a 7th Round Pick. He has 41 career goals but over 1,130 penalty minutes. He has played in 37 playoff games, and was on the Stanley Cup Champion team last season, the Chicago Blackhawks. He is filling in for injured 27 year old Derek Dorsett. In a press conference Alain said "This is a low risk move" and "We picked up a player that can bring an element of toughness". Some fans are outraged that Glen Sather gave away what could be a valuable 7th round pick.
