Brewery Closes

In a major step to begin the enforcement of the recently passed 18th Amendment, federal officials have stepped in and shut down operations at The Belch Brewing Co.

The Brewery became famous by brewing unique beers using spices only found in Illyria. Sir Toby Brown, lovingly called Sir Toby "Belch" inherited the brewery in the early 1900's and has been responsible for the brewery until the doors were closed. He is known for creating some of the brewery's most famous beers including Illyrian Pale Ale and "Belch" Beer, a highly carbonated Lager that caused patrons to belch loudly. The beer was also the inspiration behind Sir Toby's new moniker. Government officials reported that only five kegs of ale were found in the store rrom during their initial search. When questioned why his stores were so low, Sir Toby informed the investigators that he had sold and shipped his inventory to a cousin in Ireland when he learned of the prohibition. When asked to comment, Sir Toby sang the hit "Ain't Misbehavin'" made popular by Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong before vomiting on my shoes.
