Open House Opens Doors to Benefit Relay for Life

Open House Gift Shop will be hosting a shopping day on Wednesday, April 30th from 9:30am to 5:30pm to benefit the Wilton Relay for Life 2014, a Town organized, overnight Community fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.  Open House Gift Shop will donate 10% of the total days sales to the Wilton Relay for Life event.

Come browse delightful merchandise for Mother's Day, graduations, weddings, engagements, baby-shower gifts and don’t forget to buy something for yourself! Shoppers will be offered refreshments, a gift with their purchase and they can also participate in raffles and consult with the Crab Tree & Evelyn representative.

“On behalf of the Wilton Relay For Life, I would like to thank Open House for its continued support of our Town's Relay! The fundraising help from local businesses makes us proud to call Wilton our home,” says Sara Augenbraun, Chairperson for Wilton Relay for Life 2014.

Open House has always been a loyal supporter of the Relay for Life event.

“Two years ago, we decided to make the event our spring fundraiser to support two women who work at the store, who are breast cancer survivors. They are both an inspiration to us all for the courage they showed in battling cancer,” says Karen Turner, one of Open House’s managers.

In addition, Brian Perry, who owns the store, is also a supporter of the event. His wife, Patty, is a member of Acoustic Wilton and performs at the event.  All proceeds from the sale of Ms. Perry’s CD sales are donated to fighting cancer.

Open House Gift Shop is located at 9 Center Street, Wilton.  Karen Turner, Nancy Toothaker and Leslie Hueglin manage the store.
