Maxine P. Hurlbut, 92, Former Village Market Employee

Hurlbut died on Saturday, March 2 at Norwalk Hospital.

 

Maxine P. Hurlbut, age 92 of Wilton, died on Saturday, March 2 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Lisbon, NH, the daughter of the late Walter and Lena (Cotnoir) Pelletier, she was the wife of the late Everett R. Hurlbut. 

Mrs. Hurlbut worked for several years as a hairdresser at Child’s Beauty Salon in Littleton, NH and more recently as a cashier at the Village Market in Wilton, until her retirement in 1985 after 18 years of service.  She was a member of the Hurlbut Street School House and the South Norwalk Boat Club Auxiliary.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with her dear friends and neighbors and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, March 6 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.
