Obituary: Elaine McPhillips Crimmins of Wilton

Calling hours for Elaine McPhillips Crimmins are tonight: Monday, Feb. 4.


Elaine McPhillips Crimmins of Wilton died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, after a long illness.
 
She was born in 1937 in Manhattan and grew up in Woodside, N.Y. She attended Bishop McDonnell High School on a merit scholarship and upon graduation served as a respected secretary for the FBI.

Later, Crimmins focused her efforts on raising a family in Wilton and on nurturing her relationships with friends, neighbors and extended family. All her family are impoverished by her loss but much richer for her life.

She is survived by her husband, James William Crimmins, her sons James, Mark, Terence, and John, her daughters-in-law Abby, Mari, and Geralyn, and her cherished grandchildren Kenny, Catherine, and Carolyn.

A wake will be held at Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown on Monday, Feb. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., and a funeral will take place at Sacred Heart Parish Church in Georgete at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.
