14 Juveniles Caught With Pot, Alcohol in Wilton

Two separate incidents involved a total of 14 juveniles—not including three who ran away.

On Sept. 8 at 1:09 a.m., an anonymous called reported to police a “strong smell of marijuana” coming from a specific condo at Village Walk, on River Road. Police arrived and found 10 youths—all age 16—inside the unit. According to police, “numerous items of drug paraphernalia and alcohol was located in their possession.”

On Sept. 9 at 11:05 p.m., spotting what police called a “suspicious vehicle” in the parking lot outside of , officers responded. Upon approaching the vehicle, three teenagers ran off into the woods, while four teenagers remained in the vehicle.

Upon investigation, police found a small amount of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe and a small amount of alcohol, which was inside a Vitamin Water bottle.

All youths in the car were under 18 years old, and two of them were referred to the youth officer for further investigation.
