Burglary on Langner Ln - One of Eight in Past Few Months

One of a number of burglaries in town since June.

A residential burglary was reported on Langner Lane. The incident occurred some time between the afternoon of Saturday Oct. 12 and the evening of Monday, Oct. 14 while the homeowners were away. Upon their return they contacted Wilton Police who report that forced entry was gained via a rear door. Ransacking occurred within the residence and an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen from the master bedroom, according to Wilton Police.

This burglary is one of several that have taken place since June. Wilton Police have made arrests on three or four of them, fortunately, according to Lt. Donald Wakeman, who suggests that residents secure their homes and that neighbors keep their eyes open for suspicious activity, look out for each other, and contact police if they see something out of the norm.

Anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the Langler Lane neighborhood between Oct. 12 and Oct. 14 is asked to contact the Wilton Police at (203) 834-6260.
