Burglary on Valeview Rd. Wakes the Burgled

The suspect fled with an unspecified amount of valuables when the residents woke up.

Police responded to a 2:50 a.m. forced entry burglary at a Valeview Road residence in Wilton early Monday morning, according to police.

The homeowners were sleeping at the time of incident, but awoke when the burglar(s) made a loud noise; the suspect(s) fled out the back door, police said. When police responded to the scene they brought a K-9 unit from Norwalk and the police dog tracked a scent into a nearby driveway, which was at that time empty, police said.

Additionally, two unlocked cars parked in a neighbor’s driveway were rifled through but nothing was stolen, said police.
