'Combative' Woman Charged with DUI in Wilton

Police arrested the Wilton woman on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Police received a report that a vehicle was driving erratically after it pulled off the Merritt Parkway and headed towards Wilton on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 10:16 p.m. The complainant reported the driver of the vehicle "kept driving on the wrong side of the road, almost struck another vehicle and a pole, and ended up stopping on Signal Hill diagonally across the road," according to police.

Upon arrival on the scene, police found Sarah Keiser, 37, of Thayer Pond Road to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

"Kaiser became combative at the time of the arrest, resisting arrest and attempting to strike the arresting and the transporting officers," police said.

Kaiser was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, interfering with a police officer, failure to drive right at a curve and driving with unsafe tires.

She was released on a promise to appear in court Nov. 23.
