Queens Man Arrested for Stealing Prilosec, Whitening Strips from CVS

Subsequent to an investigation into the theft of merchandise from CVS on 93 Old Ridgefield Rd on Sept. 1, 2013, an arrest warrant was secured for Ebaks Akinola, 27, of 40-15 Vernon Blvd Queens, NY, and, according to Wilton Police he was arrested on Oct. 15, 2013. The charge was Larceny in the third degree. Akinola was accused of attempting to steal $3,500 in merchandise which included Prilosec, Allegra and Crest Whitening Strips.

According to Wilton Police, the types of items Ebanks is accused of  stealing are often resold in bodegas.    

According to Wilton Police, the CVS store video was viewed by loss prevention staff who recognized him. 

Ebanks was taken into custody at Norwalk Superior Court and transported to Wilton Police Dept. to be processed. He was held on bond, which was set at $30,000.
