Driver, 16, Loses Control, Rolls Over on Sharp Hill Rd.
A new driver traveled off the road, hit the embankment, lost control of her car, which rolled over and came to a rest just prior to Cherry Ln.
On Sept. 26, 2013, a Wilton driver, 16, traveling westbound on Sharp Hill Rd near Cherry Lane traveled off the right side of the road and hit the embankment. According to Wilton Police the operator lost control of the vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Rogue, as it traveled off the roadway for approximately 100 feet. The car then rolled over and came to a rest just prior to Cherry Ln.
The juvenile, who had no passengers in the car, was evaluated by Wilton EMS and transported to Norwalk Hospital, according to Wilton Police. She was treated for minor abrasions and issued a written warning for Failing to Drive in Proper Lane in violation of 14-236 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
