Driver, 16, Runs Stop Sign and Collides with Oncoming Car

A 16-year-old driver was cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign on Sept. 14, 2013 after colliding with the driver of a 2010 Ford Focus that was turning left from Wolfpit Rd onto Belden Hill Rd.

The 16-year-old, who was driving a 2003 Acura TL, was traveling north on Belden Hill Rd and failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection causing the vehicles to collide, according to Wilton police.

The operator of the Ford Focus suffered minor trauma and upper body abrasions to the chest and shoulder, according to Wilton Police. The operator of the Acura, Leslie Cerrato, 44, of Shelton, suffered abrasions to her hands and chest. Both cars sustained damage to their front end areas.
