Driver Hits Parked Car, Which Flings Furniture into Pedestrians

Wilton Police released a report of an accident on Rte. 7 involving a 2013 Honda Civic, driven by Konrad Dziemian, 18, of 358 Soundview Ave. in Stamford.

Dziemian was driving southbound on Danbury Rd. on Sept. 9, 2013 in the area of Heibecks Stand, when his car left the roadway striking an unoccupied parked Toyota Sienna before continuing south, colliding with a business sign and resting on top of a small garden.

After the unoccupied vehicle was struck from behind, the impact caused the rear of the vehicle to spin almost 180°. While the unoccupied vehicle was in motion, it appeared to hit several pieces of outdoor furniture, which were hurled in the direction of several pedestrians, according to the accident report.

Four pedestrians were transported by Georgetown EMS and Ridgefield EMS to Norwalk Hospital.

"Fortunately the injuries are not severe," said Captain John Lynch.
