Police alleged the teen copped to having a bag of marijuana under the driver's seat, and police report they found a joint in the console ashtray.

A Fairfield resident discovered an artillery shell in her attic this week, prompting a call to a State Police bomb squad technician. Investigators determined that the 37mm shell -- left behind by a family member -- dated back to WWII or the Vietnam War.

A Stratford man has been sentenced to five months in prison for almost strangling his former girlfriend to death in the parking lot of a raceway in Waterford. 'I was sure, if I didn't escape, I would have been dead,' said the victim, according to the court.
