Felony Forgery at First Niagara in Wilton

A complaint was received from First Niagara Bank at 30 Danbury Rd that a black female had just left the bank after attempting to cash a check that was determined to be fraudulent on Nov. 13, according to Wilton Police.

A suspect vehicle, a white Nissan Altima, was stopped by an officer on Rt 7 at the Norwalk Town line.

Upon interviewing the two accused, Christopher Coombs, 20, of 4090 Edison Ave, Bronx, NY and Fianna Lee, 21, 2971 8th Ave, New York, NY, they indicated that a third party, a black female had entered the bank in an attempt to cash a check and left the scene in a different vehicle, which Wilton Police indicate may be silver in color.

Due to the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, the vehicle was searched, according to Wilton Police.

Six checks determined to be fraudulent were recovered within the vehicle as were five different debit and credit cards which were determined to be fraudulent.

A small amount of marijuana and a grinder were found in a center console.

Coombs was charged with Forgery in the second degree, a Felony and Conspiracy to commit Larceny in the 4th degree and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Lee was charged with Forgery in the second degree, Conspiracy to commit Larceny in the 4th degree. 

The accused parties were unable to post bond at $5,000 each, and were transported to court on the following day, Nov. 14, 2013. Further investigation is ongoing relative to the third suspect.
