Greenwich Teen Caught During House Burglary

Greenwich Police say 19-year-old town resident is charged with 2 burglaries.

A 19-year-old Greenwich man has been arrested on burglary and larceny charges after Greenwich Police investigated an early Sunday burglar alarm.

According to a Greenwich Police report, several police units were dispatched to a Shelter Drive residence where a burglar alarm was set off shortly after 3 a.m. Sept. 16. Officers found lights turned in inside the home and the rear door had been forced open, according to the report.

Officers found the suspect, identified as Mark B. Johnson, who gave an address of 150 Cat Rock Rd., Greenwich, inside the unoccupied home. Johnson apparently ignored officers' orders to stop and fled, jumping through a living room window. Johnson then tried to flee before officers wrestled him to the ground, according to the report.

Police say they found "cash and numerous pieces of jewelry" on Johnson, apparently taken from the home which had been ransacked. While police were outside the home, a neighbor approached them to report that another home next door also was unoccupied. Police checked that home and found that the rear door of that house was unlocked and the home was ransacked.

Johnson was charged with two counts each of first-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief and one count of interfering with an officer. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bond and assigned a Sept. 24 appearance date in state Superior Court in Stamford.

PR - It appears that the writer of this item is none other than McMurphy who has been polluting theRead More Patch since the new format arose (just click on the writer's name and you will be taken to McMurphy's profile page). This person is also Randall McMurphy and all the old names including AZ. From all indications, he/she is also DB Cooper so this person is posting on this Board and then commenting on his/her own posts. As someone pointed out a couple of weeks ago, trying to trick other readers is a violation of the Patch's rules, and yet it continues.

@DB Cooper: Oh, you mean how you used your multiple personalities and screen names to flag me intoRead More oblivion? The thing is, it won't work this time. Try again, stalker. Try harder. LOL! You don't have enough fake personalities this time around to do such a thing. Thanks again for stopping by my blog. :) LOL! Hook, line, sinker.
