Woman Charged with DUI After Investigation into December Head-On Collision

Hermina Hale, 51, of 9 Robertson Ave. in Cos Cob was arrested by Wilton Police on Jan. 14 for DUI and Failure to Drive Right after an investigation into a head-on car collision back in December.

On Sunday, Dec. 8 at 7:20p.m., Hale was traveling northbound on Rt 7 in a 1998 Honda Accord when she crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup being driven southbound by John Gilbert, 49, or Norwalk, according to Wilton Police. A passenger in the Silverado, Aurelia Gilbert, complained of pain to the ribs and was transported to Norwalk Hospital, as was Hale.
