Larceny at Roly Poly: $100 Bill Used to Buy a Sandwich is Counterfeit

On Dec. 28, a customer bought a sandwich at Roly Poly in Gateway Shopping Center at 14 Danbury Rd. in Wilton and paid with a $100 dollar bill.

At the time, the employee who made the transaction didn't notice anything wrong with the bill. However, when the bill was brought to the bank for deposit, it was determined to be a fake, according to Capt. Lynch of Wilton Police Dept., who added that there may be surveillance video. The case is still open and under investigation.
