Man Threatens To Kill Former Roommate in Wilton

Police make arrests in two separate cases where a man threatened to kill another man.

 

Jared Denny, 38, of no known address, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree, criminal trespassing in the first degree, threatening and criminal mischief in the third degree following an altercation with a former roommate at a Danbury Road residence on Sept. 11 at 1:18 a.m.

According to , Denny had lived with the victim before in California and was staying with him from time to time at the victim's Wilton residence. Denny showed up to the victim's residence intoxicated and tried to get in, but the victim said no and told him to leave.

Denny then allegedly threw a bench against the front door, breaking the window in it. A physical altercation then ensued, with Denny punching the victim in the head and threatening to kill both the victim and the victim's girlfriend. Denny allegedly continued to yell threats until police arrived.

After he was arrested, Denny was taken to the hospital.

Denny was held on $10,000 bond and taken to court later that morning. 

A 51-year-old Redding man was charged with threatening in the second degree after he allegedly left a voicemail in which threatened to kill a Wilton acquaintance, who lives on Black Alder Lane. 

Steven Holdridge was released on a promise to appear at a Sept. 17 court date.
