McDonald's on I-95 in Madison Robbed at Gunpoint

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who took off with an undetermined amount of cash.

Three McDonald's employees suffered minor injuries during an armed robbery of the restaurant located in the Interstate 95 rest stop in Madison early Monday morning.

Connecticut State Police said two hispanic males, who were wearing ski masks and armed with handguns, made off with an undetermined amount of cash at about 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 23. 

There were no customers in the restaurant at the time, police said. There were four employees, and three of them were injured during a scuffle with the robbers, according to a police report issued at 9:40 a.m.

They were transported to the Guilford Shoreline Clinic, where they were treated and released, police said.

The rest stop is located on the southbound side of I-95, between exits 61 and 62.

Criminal Investigation Ongoing

Upon receipt of the call reporting the robbery, police from Troop F responded and actively initiated a criminal investigation. K-9 teams also responded, as well as surrounding police departments and the State Police Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives.

Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area of McDonald's or anyone who might have any information relating to this armed robbery to contact State Police Troop F in Westbrook at 860-399-2100. All calls will be kept confidential.
