William Tuttle, an 89-year-old Wilton resident who went missing Monday afternoon, was located by a Milford police officer on Route 1 near the Stratford border, according to Captain John Lynch.
"He did not require medical treatment and was picked up by a family member," Lynch wrote in an email.
Lynch told Patch on Tuesday that a family member of Tuttle contacted police just after 6 p.m. on Monday after he was missing for four hours. When he left home, Tuttle driving a 2007 Nissan Altima and was last seen in Norwalk. In conjunction with Connecticut State Police, the department then activated a Silver Alert.
