Multiple Charges for Fairfield Man Already Incarcerated

Robert Michael Smith, 21, of 125 Kenwood Ave. in Fairfield was arrested at Norwalk Superior Court on a warrant for burglary in the 3rd degree (a felony), larceny in the 6th degree and conspiracy to commit both burglary and larceny stemming back to incidents that occurred on Nov. 2, 2012 at Youngs Nursery and Rolling Hills Country Club.

According to Lt. Wakeman of Wilton Police, Smith was wanted for the two local burglaries last year right after the hurricane. Property loss included $40 cash from the register at Youngs and, at Rolling Hills, approximately $120 cash, checks and two bottled waters.

According to Wakeman, Smith was caught for other burglaries in Rye, NY and subsequently admitted to the Youngs and Rolling Hills burglaries.

Smith, who is currently incarcerated with the CT Dept. of Corrections on similar charges from other jurisdictions, was processed while during a date in court on Nov. 26, and released back to the Dept. of Corrections.
