Multiple Domestic Violence Calls Lead to Arrest

In the span of a few hours, Wilton police responded to two domestic violence calls about the same couple from July 5 to July 6, resulting in a disorderly conduct arrest, police said.

A 64-year-old Wilton man and his 53-year-old girlfriend were allegedly arguing about ongoing issues in their relationship at about 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Portofino Restaurant and Bar when police were called, according to police. 

Police responded to the incident and handled it with no arrests, according to police.

About two hours later, the suspect reportedly contacted police attempting to get his girlfriend to leave his home, according to police. 

She was allegedly initially uncooperative, and the suspect then reportedly used physical force to try to get her out of a chair causing her to fall down, police said.

The victim complained of pain to her right hip, but reportedly declined medical attention, police said.

The suspect was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear, police said. His court date was scheduled for Monday, according to police.
