Norwalk Man Arrested For Failure to Appear After Vehicle Stop

Wilton Police reports for Dec. 19-23

 

Ferney Arboleda, 53, of Norwalk was arrested and charged with failure to appear in court following a motor vehicle stop on Friday, Dec. 21.

Wilton Police said an officer on patrol on Danbury Road near Olmstead Hill Road observed that Arboleda's vehicle failed to stay right while rounding a curve.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer learned that Arboleda was driving with a suspended driver's license and further that there was a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court on Oct. 11 in connection with previous motor vehicle charges.

Arboleda was also charged with speeding. He was held on a $2,500 bond and is due on Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 2.

Travis Wandall, 20, of Danbury was reportedly arrested via warrant and charged with three counts of failure to appear in court on Sunday, Dec. 23.

Wilton Police said Wandall turned himself in upon learning of the warrant for his arrest.

Police said the failure to appear charges stem from incidents that occurred in 2009 and 2010, resulting in charges of criminal mischief, possession of marijuana and breach of peace.

Wandall was held on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
