Norwalk Man Arrested for Harassing Estranged Wife

The 35 year-old man allegedly made calls to his wife, who is a Wilton resident and had previously filed a protective order against him, according to police.

 

A 35-year-old Norwalk man was arrested by on July 29 for allegedly making numerous calls to his estranged wife, who lives in Wilton and had previously filed a protective order against him, according to Police Captain John Lynch.

The suspect, police said, called his wife's phone and hung up numerous times using a blocked phone number. Lynch said that department records show a history of domestic disputes between the couple.

The suspect turned himself in on a warrant and was charged with violation of criminal protective order, second-degree harassment and making a false statement in the second degree. He posted a $5,000 bond and appeared in Superior Court in Norwalk on July 30.
