Norwalk Man Arrested for Violating Probation

The arrest occurred on Sunday, Dec. 2.

Stephen C. Mayes, 63, of Norwalk was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 12:05 a.m. and charged with violating his probation after he was picked up by Norwalk Police and turned over to Wilton Police.

According to police, Mayes didn’t show up in court to answer a driving under the influence of alcohol charge, which violated his probation.

He was released on $1,000 bond and given a new court date of Dec. 13.

On Nov. 29 at 2:38 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Ridgefield Road near a residence. Upon arrival, officers noticed the 2004 Honda Pilot had extensive front-end and right-side damage following an accident where the driver hit two road signs and 25 feet of stone wall.

Officers detected an odor of alcohol on the breath of Aimee McDonald, 36, of Indian Hill Road. She complained of sickness and was taken to the hospital.

No arrest has yet been made, and the case remains under investigation.
