On Thursday, Jan. 9 at 2:14 pm, the Wilton Police Department responded to a report of a possible suicide at 100 River Rd. Upon arriving at 100 River Rd, which is the address listed for Ogden House senior living facility, officers located Mr. Robert J. Wiswall (age 76) lying in his bed with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Further investigation concluded that an employee at the facility conducted a check on Mr. Wiswall at approximately 2:00 pm after he failed to answer his daily check, according to Wilton Police. Once the employee saw Mr. Wiswall they immediately notified Police.
The Wilton Volunteer Ambulance was contacted and Mr. Wiswall was pronounced deceased at the scene. The CT State Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy at a later date.
The investigation is on-going. However based on the evidence there does not appear to be any criminal indications, according to a release from "Capt. John Lynch.
