Resident Reports $25K Jewelry Theft from Home

The theft was reported on Jan. 19.

A Spruce Meadow Court resident reported a burglary at their residence on Jan. 19 at 10:54 p.m. According to police, the homeowner reported the theft of jewelry possibly totaling more than $25,000.

According to police, the homeowner reported the perpetrator forced entry into the residence and conducted “moderate ransacking” of the residence.

The case remains under investigation.

Three copper downspouts, valued at $450, were stolen from a residence on Old Mill Road sometimes between Jan. 13 and Jan. 16. The theft was reported on Jan. 16 at 3:05 p.m.

On Jan. 18 at 4:04 p.m., a woman reported someone had stolen prescription medication from her car, which was parked in front of Starbucks. The car was unlocked.

Police said the medication was not narcotics, and reminded residents to secure their cars.

A 54-year-old man, who lives on Evergreen Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly struck his wife in the face on Jan. 18 at 5:32 p.m.

The man reported the incident to police, and was due in court on Jan. 22.
