The case against Robert Bell of New Fairfield, who is charged with shooting his wife in their home on Dec. 8, moved forward in Danbury Superior Court Wednesday when the court returned a computer to the victim's daughter.

The daughter, who has not been identified in court, filed a motion in court to get her computer back, because she is a college student. Police took the computer from the family's home to see if messages between the daughter and her parents might shed light on the case. The court copied the computer's hard drive before returning it.
