Small Engine Fire After Roll-Over on Cannon Road

No injuries reported in this Wilton accident.

On Saturday June 2, A 2005 Subaru rolled over on its side after attempting to navigate a sharp curve on Cannon Road, causing a small fire to ignite under the hood; the fire was put out by responders without major incident, police said. The driver, Sarah Andre, 57, of Limestone Road in Ridgefield, said she was unfamiliar with the road and complained of slight knee pain but she refused EMS transport, according to police. Police charged Andre with failure to drive in the established lane, police said.
