Three Drivers Charged with DUI in Wilton

Christopher Hill, 47, of Boulder Brook Road was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to keep right at a curve and taking a right turn on red illegally on Dec. 16 at 4:16 p.m.

According to police, Hill was attempting to turn right on Olmstead Hill Road when an officer observed him cross the double yellow lines on Danbury Road. The vehicle continued to cross the double yellow lines. After stopping Hill, police detected the odor of alcohol on Hill’s breath. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody.

Hill was released on a promise to appear in court later this month.

Richard Helmig, 46, of New Canaan Road was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to obey a stop sign and driving without insurance after he was stopped on Seir Hill Road, near the intersection of Belden Hill Road, for failing to stop at the stop sign there. He was pulled over on Dec. 15 at 12:36 a.m.

After he was stopped, officers detected the odor of alcohol on his breath. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody.

Helmig was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 24.

Jaycee Cuevas, 43, of Norwalk was arrested on Dec. 14 at 11:25 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and speeding after she was stopped for speeding on Belden Hill Road.

Cuevas failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody.

She was held on $200 bond and given a Dec. 27 court date.
