Two Drunk Drivers Arrested in Wilton

Wilton Police made two drunk driving arrests on Saturday.

Jamie Kleiber, 33, of Hubbard Road was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to carry registration on Saturday, Sept, 22 at 12:26 a.m.

According to police, officers saw Kleiber parked at the Mobil on Danbury Road. Her engine was running, and she was talking on her cell phone.

After talking to her, officers detected the odor of alcohol on her breath. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Kleiber then refused to take a breathalyzer, police said.

While in custody, police found out there was a separate warrant out for her arrest for another DUI charge issued by state troopers.

She was released on a promise to appear at an Oct. 2 court date, and turned over to state police.

Thomas O’Connor-Fenton, 28, of Danbury was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce high beams on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 2:18 a.m.

According to police, O’Connor-Fenton was driving north on Danbury Road when he failed to take down his high beams. Officers stopped him and detected the odor of alcohol on his breath. He was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests.

While in custody, O’Connor-Fenton—who told officers he had nothing to drink that night—blew a .1379 and .1257 on the breathalyzer.

He was released on a promise to appear at an Oct. 4 court date.
