Two Women Charged with DUI in Wilton

The arrests occurred on Jan. 1 and Jan. 3.

Aimee McDonald, 36, of Indian Hill Road was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane following a Wilton Police investigation into a November 2012 motor vehicle accident on Ridgefield Road.

According to police, McDonald was involved in a one-car motor vehicle accident on Ridgefield Road at 2:38 a.m. on Nov. 29. McDonald allegedly hit two road signs and sideswiped 25 feet of a stone wall.

She was taken to the hospital, where testing determined she had an elevated blood alcohol content of .281. A warrant was issued for McDonald’s arrest, which occurred on Jan. 3.

McDonald was held on $5,000 bond and given a Jan. 14 court date.

Estelle Wilcox, 43, of Redding was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road, near Cannon Road, on Jan. 1 at 1:08 a.m.

Following the stop, officers detected the odor of alcohol emanating from Wilcox, who subsequently failed field sobriety tests. Police took her in to custody and determined her blood alcohol level was .19. Following the arrest, officers located marijuana and a smoking pipe in her possession.

Wilcox was held on $200 bond and given a Jan. 11 court date.
