Wilton 17-Year-Old Busted for Pot, Alcohol, Speeding

On Dec. 7 at 6:16 p.m., a 17-year-old boy from Wilton was pulled over for exceeding the speed limit on Old Belden Hill Rd. According to Wilton Police, after being stopped, the officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

Wilton Police K9 Enzo and handler, Officer Rangel, were summoned to the scene. K9 Enzo alerted to the presence of marijuana inside the car, which was subsequently searched.

A 17-year-old female passenger from Wilton was found to have a small baggie of marijuana on her, according to Wilton Police. She was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Also located inside the vehicle were two containers of malt liquor belonging to the 17 year-old male driver, who was charged with Possession of Alcohol, Traveling too Fast, and a License Restriction Violation.

The female was charged with Possession of Marijuana and referred to the School Resource Officer, who issued her a summons to appear in juvenile court in Stamford.
