Wilton Cops: Violation of Protective Order Charges for New Canaan Woman

Cheryl Ann Jenkins, 52, of Raymond St. in New Canaan was charged on Jan. 7 with Violation of Protective Order at a home on Silver Spring Rd.

According to Wilton Police, the accused turned herself in at headquarters upon being notified of a warrant for her arrest. On Dec. 26, 2013 a complaint was received of a note and items being left on a vehicle inside a garage at the home on Silver Spring Rd.

The investigation found that Jenkins had placed the items there in violation of a protective order that barred her from being on the property.

According to Capt. Lynch, Jenkins left off a canvass painting and a note was left on the vehicle that read "Merry Christmas. Best Wishes for the New Year. Hope it was all worth it." Lynch added that the complainant and the accused are married.

Capt. Lynch said the garage was unlocked. Jenkins had a date in court of Jan. 8.
