On Dec. 21, 2013 Scott P Thomson, 128 of Spoonwood Rd in Wilton was charged with DUI and Failure to Keep Right on a Curve, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphanalia after an incident that left the 2002 Buick Park Ave he was driving resting on a rock in the woods.
According to Wilton Police, Thomson was going downhill on Rivergate Drive and was negotiating a right curve in the road. The vehicle drove off the left side of the road into the woods and came to rest on top of the rock. Police reported that Thomson appeared to be intoxicated and failed sobriety tests. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a bottle of vodka and a portion of a water pipe containing residue of marijuana was discovered hidden under the seat cushion of the back seat.
According to the police report, Thomson's breath test resulted in a .07 BAC. Other evidence revealed prescribed medications may also be involved. A urine sample was obtained and will be evaluated by the state Toxicology Lab. Thomson was released on a Promise to Appear in Court on Jan. 2, 2014.
