Wilton Man, 43, Arrested after Crashing into a Rock Wall

Kevin Kendra, 43 of Cedar Rd in Wilton was arrested for Avoiding Responsibility and Failure to Obey a Stop sign after he crashed into a large rock wall on Chestnut Hill Rd.

According to Wilton Police on Dec. 13 at 1:34a.m. Police were called for a report of a car over a rock wall on Chestnut Hill Rd at Dudley Rd.  Police found a 2006 Volvo XC70 SUV unoccupied with severe front end damage over a rock wall.

A registration check of the Volvo led police to the identification of the driver as Kevin Kendra.

According to Wilton Police, Kendra was driving East on Dudley Rd, failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Chestnut Hill Rd and continued straight across Chestnut Hill Rd. The Volvo continued up a grass embankment, launching it up into a large rock wall where it crashed into a tree.

Kendra was issued a Summons for Avoiding Responsibility and Failure to Obey a Stop sign. According to police, Kendra was not injured. He was released on a Promise to Appear and given a court date of Dec. 26, 2013 at Norwalk Superior Court.
