Wilton Man Charged with DUI Following Car Wreck

A Wilton man was arrested on July 4 after crashing his car into a telephone pole and hitting a guardrail, according to police.

The department received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Thunder Lake Road from a third-party at about 5:20 a.m., police said. The car reportedly went off of the road, broke the pole in half and ended up caught in the guardrail, according to police.

The driver was reportedly Chris Kachadoorian, 21, of 246 Thunder Lake Rd., who failed a field sobriety test and refused to have his blood alcohol content taken, police said.

Kachadoorian was charged with driving under the influence and failing to drive in the established lane, according to police. 

He was released on a promise to appear and his court date is set for July 12, according to police.
