Wilton Man Charged with DUI in His Driveway

Wilton Police news, Dec. 5 through Dec. 11.

Michael Bayonne, 36, of Greenbriar Lane was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive right and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. His arrest occurred on Dec. 5 at 10:44 p.m.

According to police, officers received a complaint of erratic operation of a motor vehicle where the driver “was driving all over the road” and “nearly drove off the road,” Captain John Lynch said. Officers eventually located Bayonne in his driveway next to his car. Bayonne failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody. His blood alcohol content was .123.

Bayonne was released on a promise to appear at a Dec. 17 court date.

A motor vehicle stop on Wolfpit Road on Dec. 11 at 1:44 a.m resulted in charges brought against two 20-year-old men.

According to police, officers stopped a vehicle that pulled on to Wolfpit Road from Danbury Road, turned into a driveway and turned around, driving in the wrong lane for a short period of time as it made its way back to Dabury Road. Upon investigation, police saw a pipe that contained marijuana in plain view inside the car.

Andrew Hawk, 20, of Dunstable, Mass. was charged with possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The infractions have a Dec. 28 response date.

The driver—Edgar Oliva, 20, of Patch Street in Danbury—was issued an infraction for driving without a license.
