Wilton Man Gets DUI on His Own Street

On Thanksgiving a vehicle was stopped by Wilton Police at Olmstead Hill Rd and Nod Hill Rd after a complainant reported to Wilton Police that it was traveling northbound on Ridgefield Rd at a very low rate of speed and weaving all over the road.

According to Wilton Police Lt. Wakeman, the officer on the scene detected the strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle operator, Andrew Copley, 54, of 126 Olmstead Hill Rd refused to have his BAC tested but failed field sobriety tests. He found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and taken into custody.

Copley was charged with DUI and Failure to Drive to the Right and released on a Promise to Appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 9, 2013 at 10:00a.m.
