A 44-year-old women was arrested on May 8 after police found her in possession of alcohol following a one-car accident.
According to Lt. John Lynch, a witness told police that Lisa MacDougall of Old Belden Hill Road, who was driving with her 8-year-old and 5-year-old sons, was "acting strange" after she hit a protective concrete column at the Wilton Auto & Tire Center at 210 Danbury Road multiple times resulting in a flat tire and heavy damage to the right side of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
When police arrived, they observed that MacDougall was under the influence of alcohol. Officers found an open water bottle sitting in the front cupholder containing a clear liquid that Lynch said looked like white wine.
MacDougall was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and risk of injury to a child. She was released on a promise to appear in court on May 18.
A 14-year-old girl was found in possession of prescription drugs while on school grounds, according to Wilton police. Lt. John Lynch said the suspect was found at with various pills, including Ritalin. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and referred to juvenile court.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on May 14 after a verbal argument with his ex-wife inside of her Wilton home.
According to police, Scott Chila of Fourth St., Stamford, was at his ex-wife's home at 150 Thayer Pond Road when she dialed 911 after he refused to leave. Lt. Lynch said that during the argument, Chila at one point grabbed his ex-wife's wrist and that she may have hung up the phone once he agreed to leave the property. Children were present in the home, but were not involved in the argument, according to police.
When police arrived, Chila was found driving down the street in his car. He was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear in court.
