Wilton Police Arrest Four Drunk Drivers

Between Sept. 13 and Sept. 17, four drivers were found to be under the influence.

Valerie Baez-Khan, 35, of Norwalk was arrested on Monday, Sept. 17 at 12:54 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to keep right at a curve, failure to signal and driving without a license.

According to police, Baez-Khan, who was heading south on Danbury Road, was pulled over because she drove over the double yellow line near School Road. Upon investigation, it was determined she was under the influence of alcohol.

Baez-Khan was released on a promise to appear at a Sept. 27 court date.

Richard J. Hess, 23, of Stamford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday, Sept. 14 at 1:35 a.m.

According to police, a motorist stopped to advise an officer—who was conducting a separate traffic stop—that the car behind him was “all over the road.” Contact was made with that driver, Hess, who subsequently failed field sobriety tests.

He was taken into custody and released on a promise to appear at a Sept. 24 court date.
