According to police, Oliva-Cardoza was heading north on Danbury Road when he traveled into the southbound lane and struck a vehicle. He then proceeded to drive away. Police stopped Oliva-Cardoza after a short pursuit on Wolfpit Road and found him to be driving under the influence and without a valid driver's license.

Further investigation reveal Oliva-Caroza was in the United States illegally, and he's now the subject of removal proceedings, according to police.

He was held on $2,500 bond and given a Nov. 5 court date.

Jorge Luis Salinas-Jara, 21, of Stamford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road near Scribner Hill Road on Nov. 4 at 4:28 a.m.

According to police, Salinas-Jara was observed speeding. Police stopped him and determined he was under the influence of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken in to custody.

Salinas-Jara was released on a promise to appear at a Nov. 15 court date.

A 59-year-old Weston man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police observed him sitting in his car parked outside Ancona's Wines & Liquors, revving his engine repeatedly.

According to police, employees at Ancona's contacted them when they saw him revving his engine, which he continued to do until his arrest.

If he's the subject of removal proceedings, there is no way he's showing up for that court date if he can come up with $2,500.
