Wilton Police Officer Rappels Down 16-Story Building

Wilton Police Officer MacLean had a chance to rappel down a 16-story building in Stamford as part of a Special Olympics fundraiser called "Over The Edge."

On September 12, 2013 Wilton Police Officer Diane MacLean took part in a Connecticut Special Olympics “Over The Edge” fundraising event in Stamford. 

MacLean, along with approximately twenty other participants, rappelled down the side of a sixteen story building in Stamford.

Officer MacLean received donations which allowed her to meet the $1,000 entrance fee. After being fitted with a harness and heading up to the roof Officer MacLean received instructions on how to go “Over The Edge”.  

Officer MacLean, who had no previous experience in rappelling, is already looking forward to participating in the next Special Olympics fundraiser rappelling event.
